Why this site exists
A real problem, a simple idea
Finding a proper mid-term rental on São Miguel — as a remote worker — is genuinely hard. Airbnb is too expensive for long stays. Traditional rentals require local references and long-term commitments. And most listings don't tell you what actually matters: is the Wi-Fi fast enough for video calls? Is there a proper desk?
At the same time, property owners on the island are sitting on a real opportunity they don't know how to reach. Mid-term rentals to remote workers are the obvious alternative to short-term tourist lets — but most owners don't know where to start.
That's the gap we're trying to fill. We're not there yet — but we're working on it, one property at a time.

This site is run by someone who lives on the island — not from a laptop somewhere else. We know the neighbourhoods, the landlords, and the local market from the inside.

We work with a local Portuguese-speaking partner who handles owner relationships and on-the-ground support. Without that, none of this would work.

We launched on São Miguel first — because that's where we know the market best. More Azores islands are coming. We'd rather do one island properly before expanding than spread ourselves thin.

Let's be honest
We haven't been around for years. We don't have hundreds of properties or thousands of reviews. We're a new platform, still building — and we think it's important to say that upfront rather than pretend otherwise.
What we do have: genuine local knowledge, a real person on the ground, and a commitment to only listing what we've personally checked. Every property on this site has been visited. Every Wi-Fi speed has been tested. If something doesn't meet the bar, it doesn't go up.
